Desborough Library has re-opened...
We re-opened the library on Tuesday, 7th. July in a very restrictive way - with no browsing being possible but requests for books being made at the desk, or in advance by messaging us on Facebook, emailing or email@example.com or calling the library during opening hours on 01604 368169. Alternatively you can come in and ask.
Entry is through the rear door and exit through the front doors. You will be required to use the hand sanitiser on entering the library, and there is also hand sanitiser at the desk and photocopier. Everyone working in the library is washing their hands regualrly and wiping down surfaces at the desk, photocopier and public computer after every use. There are social distancing markers in the library and we ask that you follow the guidance and respect the space. Children under 12 have to come in and stay with an adult at all times, there are no toys and no children's play area. We will require anyone not following our rules to leave the library.
We will still be offering 'click and collect' during the hours the library is open, which are:
Tuesdays 10.00am to 2.00pm
Wednesdays 12 noon to 3.00pm
Thursdays 10.00am to 2.00pm
Fridays 2.00pm to 6.00pm
Saturdays 10.00am to 1.00pm
Photocopying can be done, we do it for you, and we have one public computer available which you can pre-book (contact as above) or just turn up and see if it's available. Each session is limited to 45 minutes. There are no charges at the moment for these services but donations are welcomed.
We are not offering drinks of any kind nor selling craft items or cards, in line with the guidance from the County Council.
This way of working will continue for some weeks while all of the libraries that have re-opened monitor what happens, but we hope to move forward and allow people to browse in the not too distant future.
If you have any questions, please contact us.
Take care, keep safe.
