Desborough Library is open again...
Desborough Library opened up for browsing at the start of September 2020 and you can now enter ane eit trhough the front doors. Everyone using the library must use the hand sanitiser (which is alocohol free and no touch for extra safety) on the righthand wall just before the inner front doors. the wearing of masks - inless you are exempt or are a child under 11 - is also mandatory and in-line with the very latest Central Government guidance we have to record your details for 'track and trace' if you remain in the library for more than 10 minutes. This information is kept for 21 days and then destroyed. Children under 12 have to come in and stay with an adult at all times, there are still no toys and no children's play area.
Anyone not following our rules will have to leave the library.
Our opening hours are:
Tuesdays 10.00am to 4.00pm (these are new extended hours from 1st. October)
Wednesdays 12 noon to 3.00pm
Thursdays 10.00am to 2.00pm
Fridays 2.00pm to 6.00pm
Saturdays 10.00am to 1.00pm
We are continuing to offer the 'click and collect' service for anyone who does not want to com itno the library at the moment, and items can be returned to a red shopping basket in the foyer.
Photocopying can be done, and we have two public computers available which you can pre-book (contact as above) or just turn up and see if it's available. Each session is limited to 45 minutes. There are no charges at the moment for these services but donations are welcomed.
Please note charges are being re-introduced for phocopying, computer use and late returns of items from 5th. October 2020.
We are not offering drinks of any kind but we are selling snacks (biscuits), craft items and cards.
